November 20 Rehearsal Schedule

10:00 - 11:00 Shepherd, Chinese, Candy Cane and Sugarplum
10:30 - 11:00 Lambs with Shepherd
11:00 - 12:00 OPENING NUMBER (ALL DANCERS MUST ATTEND)
12:00 - 1:00 Spanish, Snow, Flowers

Note: All dancers must attend the Opening Number Rehearsal at 11:00.

Performance Packets will be given out this weekend at rehearsal. This will have all the information that you will need for the performances. Please be sure you pick it up.

Pictures, Sweatsuits, T-Shirts and Tights will be given out prior to the 1st performance. We are hoping to hand all of these out on the Nov. 27 rehearsal. If they are not in yet we will set up a pick up time before Dec. 3.

Important Nutcracker Reminders

All pink forms are due this Saturday, October 9th, along with the $200 participation fee.

Extra tights and t-shirt order forms and money are also due this weekend.

If you have not received an email from me regarding the Nutcracker please make sure I have your correct email address on file.

2010 Nutcracker Season Audition

"Staging The Nutcracker"

This year the Nutcracker will be performing on tour. Dates to be announced.

Audition:

September 25, 2010.

Ages 8 - 11 = 3:00 - 3:45

Ages 12 - 15 = 4:00 -4:45

Ages 16 - Up = 5:00 - 5:45

Register 15 minutes before audition time.

Audition Fee = $10.00

Dance attire required = leotard, tights, ballet shoes. Hair off neck. If auditioning for pointe, pointe shoes to be worn during audition time.

Audition Requirements: Head Shot and Resume, Prior dance experience preferred.

Summer Intensive

ABT Summer Dance Intensive

Ascension Ballet Theatre is hosting the Summer Dance Intensive to inspire artistry and continue education throughout the year. ABT will offer classical ballet, contemporary and modern workshops to those students whom wish to train in these styles or to improve upon their own existing skills.

Keep your dancer from backsliding on skills this Summer and continue the training while providing your child with a summer activity and a premier dance education at the same time.

Workshop Information

The 5 day workshops will be geared to improve a dancers technique, strength, extension, balance, poise, vocabulary, musicality and performance skills.

Students will be grouped by age into their appropriate Workshop. Dancers age 9-13 will follow the JUNIOR schedule. Dancers age 14 and Up will follow the SENIOR schedule.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills before an audience during an “informance” on the final day of Workshop 4.

Location

The Summer Intensive will be held at the All About Dance studios located off of Burnside Avenue in Gonzales at 306 East Spillman Street.
